Most importantly do NOT show up wearing casual clothing, you will look strange when stepping into a world long past. Make the investment or rent a costume at the gate and you will look and fit naturally to get the best experience.

My daughters and I have a Whale of grand experiences every time we visit thee Ren Faire!! Thee cast members are wonderful and stay in character, thee merchants are fantastic and thee jousting is real and exciting! Thee food is delicious and thee games bring giant grins to us all! ; )

It is a great experience! Plenty of shops and all! Awesome crown dressing up with loads of activities and shows and workshops! The only downside is food - not so impressed with the food served there.

Supporting artisan craftsmanship is worth investment; I add a new piece to my collection annually (crystalline vases and forged crowns most recently).

I had a great time here. I enjoyed dressing up, people watching, walking around, and enjoying the shows. They have themed weekends. I happened to go during ren-con weekend. To save money you can buy tickets ahead of time the December before the fair. They also have military discounts and cheaper tickets for sale at Walgreens. There's a lot of handmade crafts to look at or buy as well.

The only cons is this place is a bit of a money trap. Food is expensive and not great tasting. Drinks are also expensive. You are free to bring your own bottled drink. They will smell your container to make sure you're not sneaking in alcohol. There's plenty of fountains to drink from or refill your bottles from.

I went here in 2014 and I've been wanting to come back ever since. Maybe one day soon! Looks like fun still!

First off I married a Faire Brat who got me hooked.
